Civic Affairs Committee CHOA's Civic Affairs Committee initially included recreation, newsletter and community affairs (yard-of-the-month, entry maintenance, etc.). Through our community's evolution, the newsletter was deverted to Maribel, the Association Manager. The Recreation Committee deals with the operation of any recreation areas and plans community parties. The Board of Directors (BOD) appoints the Committee chairpersons, who are then responsible for recruiting committee members. The BOD also establishes the committees' budgets. Individual expenditures must still be approved by CHOA's Board of Directors. Each year, the Committee Chairpersons notify the BOD of the committees' "wish lists" for the following year's budget. The BOD's also may create other committees as may be appropriate for the community. |
